Lawn Maintenance:
Summer lawn care requires raising the lawn mower for cool season grasses, and lowering it for warm season lawns. Lawns will require longer and more frequent watering, best done in early morning to encourage a stronger root system. This is also the time to apply an all-purpose fertilizer. In the autumn, lawns can be mowed at a lower height, and thatch buildup that occurs in warm season grasses should be removed. Lawn care in the winter is minimal, requiring only light feedings of organic material, such as green-waste compost, and minerals to encourage earthworms and beneficial microbes.
Flower Bed Designs:
A flower garden is any garden where flowers are grown for decorative purposes. Because flowers bloom at varying times of the year, and some plants are annual, dying each winter, the design of flower gardens can take into consideration to maintain a sequence of bloom and even of consistent color combinations, through varying seasons.
Fence & Deck Restoration:
All measures that are taken to ensure a long life of wood fall under the definition wood preservation. Apart from structural wood preservation measures, there are a number of different (chemical) preservatives and other processes that can extend the life of wood, timber, wood structures or engineered wood.
Patios, Decking, Fences:
Wood or timber "decking" can be used in a number of ways - as part of fences and garden landscaping, to extend living areas of houses, and as an alternative to stone based features such as patios. Decks are made from treated lumber, composite lumber, composite material, Aluminum, Western red cedar, teak, mahogany and other hardwoods and recycled planks.
Fruit Tree Pruning:
Fruit tree pruning covers a number of horticultural techniques and methods that are used on fruit-bearing trees to control growth, remove dead or diseased wood, and stimulate the formation of flowers and fruit buds. Pruning often means cutting branches back, sometimes removing smaller limbs entirely.
Irrigation Design:
Lawn sprinklers vary widely in their size, cost, and complexity. They include impact sprinklers, oscillating sprinklers, drip sprinklers, and underground sprinkler systems. Small sprinklers are available at home and garden stores or hardware stores.

Rose pruning, sometimes regarded as a horticultural art form, is largely dependent on the type of rose to be pruned, the reason for pruning, and the time of year it is at the time of the desired pruning.
